A lady named Sayoko (Mikako Ichikawa) rents cats to lonely people. Among the tenants is an old woman who lost her husband and her own cat, a middle-aged person who is seperated from family due to work, a woman at a reception desk who questions her existence and a man who has a connection with Sayoko.
